I am two stuck in one

I am a body longing to be home

A body I once recognised

Once before

​

I wrap myself

In beautiful, intricate layers

Soft and gentle

I unwrap myself

And lay bare

Bones of steel

Am I both or am I neither

Why can’t I just be?

A body is just a body
